Owning Your Voice – INTERVIEW with Kristin Chadwick

March 27, 2025

In this episode of Overwhelmed to Overcomer, Anna McLaughlin is joined by Kristen Chadwick, a Kingdom Entrepreneur, podcast coach, and founder of Podcast Coaching for Kingdom Entrepreneurs. Kristen shares her powerful insights on owning your story, no matter how ordinary or extraordinary it may seem. She emphasizes that each of us has a unique and valuable voice that God is calling us to use. Stepping out in courage to share your story can transform your life and bring healing to others. Kristen also shares her journey of starting a podcast, touching on how it’s impacted countless lives, including one person saved from suicide. If you’ve ever wondered if your voice truly matters, or if your story is enough, this episode will encourage you to step into your calling with confidence and trust in God’s plan for your life.

Scripture References:

  • Proverbs 8:18-21 – “With me are riches and honor, enduring wealth and prosperity.”

  • Romans 8:28 – “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

  • 1 Corinthians 1:27-29 – “But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.”

  • Isaiah 55:11 – “So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”

  • Joshua 1:9 – “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

  • Romans 12:6-8 – “We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.”

  • Matthew 5:14-16 – “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Key Takeaways:

  • Everyone has a unique story that deserves to be shared.

  • The importance of embracing your voice, regardless of whether it feels “extraordinary” or not.

  • The role of faith and obedience in stepping out and doing the hard things, such as starting a podcast or business.

  • Kristen’s personal journey of transforming from a quiet and reserved person to confidently sharing her voice with the world, with powerful results.

  • Embrace your unique gifts in Christ and recognize that even the things that come easily to you are valuable to others.

  • Find clarity on who God has called you to serve, whether through podcasting, speaking, cooking, or any other area of life.

  • The power of journaling or voice memos to help you discover your authentic voice and deepen your relationship with God.

  • Don’t wait until everything is “perfect” to step into your calling—God is using you right where you are.

About She Considers a Field… Podcast

The mission of the She Considers a Field… podcast is to encourage and equip homeschooling entrepreneurs to build a legacy of peace, purpose and JOY.

If you’re a homeschooling entrepreneur, you are uniquely equipped to advance the Kingdom of God – both deep, through educating and raising your children, and wide, through your business. But guilt, frustration and overwhelm can keep us stuck from walking in all the Father has for us. As a fellow homeschooling entrepreneur mama with almost a decade of practice in both spaces, I understand how soul-stretching these roles are. On this podcast, you’ll find compassionate, strategic talk about how to wear all the many hats WELL – from a place of fullness, not deficit. Whether you’re currently homeschooling and running a business or you’re simply wanting to be intentional about walking out your faith in the areas of family and finance, there’s something for you here.

This road of stewarding well the gifts God has given us isn’t always easy – but it’s always worth it.
