. . . My name is Anna McLaughlin
I’d love nothing more than to hear your WHOLE story, tucked away in a quiet corner of some quirky coffee shop … but since it doesn’t really work that way online, I’ll tell you a bit about me, so you can figure out if I’m your kind of person. Sound good? You can sum me up in just a handful of categories:
God: I LOVE a good redemption story. I’m living out my own myself – saved by grace at the age of 11, I traversed some DEEP valleys in my teens and early 20s before coming to the end of my rope in my mid-20s and truly beginning my love story with the Lord. It’s been 30 years since He first called me. I love Him so, and I love reflecting His goodness to others!
Marriage: I knew my husband was “the one” before our second date, and I haven’t been proven wrong yet! We’ve been married since 2010, and he’s my very best friend.
Homeschooling My People: I’m a homeschooling mama of four VERY different souls. We’ve been at this thing 9 years – I’m by no means a natural, but I’m COMMITTED! We have the privilege of raising an introverted, creative bookworm; a memorizing, sports-loving, ALL IN talker; a compassionate, nurturing wild child; and a sensitive, curious future scientist. I love encouraging other women who are committed to homeschooling but may not find it second nature, either. Anyone besides me?!
Coaching: My dad always used to say, “The greatest gift of being a parent is watching your children become who you always knew you were.” Coaching has felt the most like coming home of any work I’ve done. I love nothing more than helping people identify their unique, God-given bent … closing the gap between where they are and where they feel called to be … and getting to encourage them in their own meaningful work in the world! Coaching changed my life over a decade ago, and now it’s my privilege to bear witness as the Lord does the same for my clients!
My Other Favorite Things: When I’m not spending time with or doing all these other things I’ve already talked about, I’m probably voice-messaging with some of my favorite people … tackling my ever-growing reading pile … reading aloud to my kids … or planning to take a nap while instead watching a historical drama (Downton Abbey … Poldark … now I’m trying out Jamestown – am I gonna like it?!?!).
